In October Beit Juhuro celebrated its Grand Opening with over 100 people in attendance. We also started our Gorsky Wednesday classes at the new location and listened to great classes by Rabbi Zitron. Grand Opening event

September 2021 @ Beit Juhuro

Great Beginnings  We started the Holiday Season with a Sephardic Slichot and Melave Malka event, generously sponsored by the Abramov Family, L’iluy Nishmat their Father, Nathan Tolik Ben Yedidya, and their grandmother, Olga bat Isi at our new location. It was amazing to do Kaparot and Hatarim Nedarim (annulation of vows) together, learn about Yom Kippur with Rabbi Zitron (recording below), and celebrate Rosh Hashana, Yom Kippur, Sukkot, and Simchat Torah with our Community. In August we opened at the new location, celebrated weddings and a Brit Milah, and got ready for the High Holidays. July 2021 @ Beit Juhuro

In July we celebrated a Siyum, mourned for the destruction of the Beit Hamikdash, cooked together, and listened to great classes. This month Bertha and Dayana gave a cooking class on how to make traditional Gorsky Tandir bread and Dolma. What are Tandir bread and Dolma? Dolma is a family of stuffed dishes that originated in the Ottoman Empire. During the winter months, cabbage was the main food of peasants in Persia and the Ottoman Empire, and it spread to the Balkans as well.
