Every Wednesday we get together, have dinner, socialize, and participate in an engaging Torah class in Russian language by Rabbi Ephraim Ilyaguev. Followed by Juhuri language and culture class with outstanding instructor Dr. Simon – Yechiel Mardakhayev.

Our sages taught that Torah was first offered to the “house of Jacob”-Jewish women, and only then to the “sons of Israel”-Jewish men. Beit Juhuro recognizes the importance of women’s education and offers unique series of lectures on many topics about “The power of a woman in Judaism”. An inside look at the role of women in Judaism, how feminism exists in Judaism, the spiritual power a woman has, and how we can contribute these strengths to our spouse, our family, at work, and in our community. Refreshments are served.

Gorsky-Kavkazi leadership fellowship is a joint project of Beit Juhuro and RAJE Olami. Over the course of 20 weeks young Gorsky Jews of New York re-discover their roots and heritage of their ancestors in a new light. Fellows will also execute life changing community projects and attend 2 Shabbatons. It’s a great opportunity to pray for whatever you need, make new friends and bring some delicious challa home.
