In January we hosted our first in-house Shabbaton in two years, had a very fun event for Gorsky youth, and started a new learning series on Shalom Bayit.
This month we had a get-together for our young adults with a class on asher yatzar, followed by an activity during which three groups had to prove to each other which organ is the most essential: liver, lungs, or kidneys. Delicious refreshments were served.
NEW We are excited to announce that we have started a new monthly series for men on Shalom Bayit, peace and happiness in the Jewish home. The first class recording is available below.
The kiddushim this month were generously sponsored by Denis Abayev, Emil Yagubov Leilui Nishmat Manashir Ben Gulyi, Aron Shamailov and Solomon Yakubov for the refuah shlema of Ikhil Ben Zohov, and anonymously in honor of all the single people In the community to find their Shidduch this year! Amen!
Connect to your roots for 1 hour a week and join us at the Gorsky Wednesday classes, followed by dinner. In January we learned about the life and works of Rabbi Hayyim Vital (1542-1620). We thank everyone for joining.
