December 2019 @ Beit Juhuro

2019 has been a productive year for Beit Juhuro. We captured the memories in this little video: In the last month of 2019, the men finished learning the Book of Nehemya and celebrated with Lechaims and refreshments and the ladies completed the Moshiach series with Rabbi Zitron. Congratulations!

NEW at Beit Juhuro

Rabbi Zitron will be starting a new series on Emunah. We are looking forward to learn about this new exiting topic!

And that’s not all! All ladies are invited to join the upcoming event, a class with Rabbi Bentzion Laskin on February 9 (in Russian)!

This December Beit Juhuro conducted an amazing Mega Winter Shabbaton with delicuous Gorsky food, an Oneg Shabbat with Rabbi Zitron (huge thanks to Yehuda Ashurov for sponsoring and organizing!), lunch at local hosts, singing, Trivia questions on Israel, Judaism, and our dear Beit Juhuro, learning about our Jewish heritage and, of course, meeting old and new friends! The Shabbaton was attended by 120 people. We thank Dayana Manashirova for hosting close to 40 people for Shabbat lunch, New York Kosher Caterers for delicious food, everyone who helped preparing for the Shabbaton, the WZO-Department for the promotion of Aliyah, and everyone who contributed to this beautiful event with their presence!

This month we joined the Israel Fair and represented  Beit Juhuro as one of the Jewish and Israeli Organizations there.

Get ready for something we were waiting for since 2014:

BEIT JUHURO IS OPENING A GORSKY SYNAGOGUE IN THE SOUTH OF BROOKLYN!

Did you know?

Beit Juhuro was founded in 2014 as a cultural and educational center with the goal to preserve the unique identity and culture of the Gorsky Jews.
We offer a wide spectrum of activities as well as partnerships with local and international organizations, conduct daily prayers, fellowship programs, and much more.
Baruch HaShem Beit Juhuro has rapidly expanded in just 6 years and is now ready to establish its own Synagoge.
Therefore, we conducted a unprecedented online fundraising campaign to help this come true. While the goal of $300,000  wasn’t met just yet, the campaign was incredibly successful. With your help we will, G-d willing, reach our goal soon.

This means that we will no longer have our location on Ave S. At the moment we are in search of a new place in South Brooklyn.
Rabbi Ilyaguev was interviewed on the FreedomFM radio (interview in Russian) about the fundraising campaign and the future of Beit Juhuro.
